Hi everyone! I want to start out this week’s post by thanking you for logging in last week and participating in the Peter and the Wolf lesson. I truly LOVED reading your responses to the music and even though I wish I could talk to you in person, it warmed my heart to have your responses show up in my emails!
Since we will get to start April in the middle of this week, I decided to start our Jazz Appreciation Month today. Music rooms across the US highlight Jazz during the month of April and most of my past students will remember that we too, like to celebrate Jazz at Fredericktown.
Lastly, while you have been learning at home, I have also been learning at home by trying out a different format for lessons. “Pear Deck” is just a different way to present information and ask for student responses. This is new for me so if there’s a glitch or two I'm sorry! … although I did make my own kids “test” out my lesson first!
If you’d like to try the “Pear Deck” lesson click on the link (in blue) below. Once you get to the slides, you should be able to advance the frames by clicking on the arrows at the bottom of the slide.
